American Women's Association (Jakarta, Indonesia)
Variant namesThe American Women's Association in Jakarta, Indonesia, was open to any adult female American citizen or wife of an American citizen residing in Indonesia. Its purpose was to conduct activities for and foster a feeling of friendship among its members, to further interest in Indonesian cultural events, and to promote interest in social welfare. It met monthly, published a newsletter, conducted cultural tours, sponsored programs, and encouraged charitable endeavors.
